Otter is a game engine and editor with its own scripting language, Cog. Build a scene, give it behavior, and export a game that runs on its own: no compiler, no SDK, no runtime for your players.

Skyhawk, a flight simulator made in Otter

The whole game, in one window

Every object in the hierarchy, every component in the inspector, the scene as the game will draw it, and your project's files a click away.

The Otter editor with Skyhawk open: the aircraft selected in the hierarchy and the scene view, its rigid body and collider in the inspector, and the project's Cog scripts in the assets panel.

An editor that feels like home

A scene view, a hierarchy, an inspector for every component, undo and redo. If you've used Godot or Unity, you already know your way around.

Cog, made for game scripts

Small, readable, and checked when it loads: a misspelled name is caught before you press Play, with a suggestion for what you meant.

Ship without a toolchain

Build Game bundles your scenes, scripts and assets with a ready-made player. Nothing gets compiled on your machine, or on theirs.

A script is a component

Attach it to an object, and anything marked @export shows up in the Inspector, set per object.
